Responsibilities
- Monitor security infrastructure and detect anomalies using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate and respond to security incidents with NIST-aligned procedures
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on weekend schedules
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during security incident escalations
- Generate comprehensive security reports and executive summaries
- Implement firewall rules and IDS/IPS configurations
- Stay current with emerging threats and MITRE ATT&CK framework updates
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms and threat intelligence tools
- Experience with network security (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS)
- Strong analytical skills and incident response capabilities
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts (Sat-Sun 6am-6pm)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
