Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and security events using SIEM tools to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct thorough investigations into security incidents, including root cause analysis and incident response.
- Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001).
- Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch systems and mitigate risks proactively.
- Generate and present detailed security reports to stakeholders and leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or network defense.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, ArcSight, Sentinel) and threat intelligence feeds.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical teams.
