Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM tools (Splunk/QRadar)
- Conduct forensic analysis of security breaches and compile detailed incident reports
- Develop and implement security automation scripts for threat detection
- Collaborate with IT teams to remediate vulnerabilities and patch management
- Perform penetration testing and vulnerability assessments on network systems
- Create and maintain security documentation, playbooks, and policies
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience in security operations center (SOC) environments
- Certification required: CISSP, Security+, or GIAC (e.g., GCIH)
- Proficiency in network security tools (Firewall, IDS/IPS, EDR)
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, and common attack vectors
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Ability to work rotating shifts for 24/7 operations coverage
