Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate remediation
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including playbooks and procedures
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network assets
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current with emerging threats and countermeasures (CIS benchmarks, MITRE ATT&CK)
- Prepare incident response reports and executive summaries
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC or analyst roles
- Industry certifications: CISSP, Security+, or CEH preferred
- Proficiency in network security tools (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR)
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, and common attack vectors
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field
