Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and prioritize incident response
- Conduct forensic investigations of security breaches and document findings
- Implement vulnerability assessments and penetration testing protocols
- Develop security policies and ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch vulnerabilities and strengthen network defenses
- Analyze threat intelligence feeds and proactively mitigate emerging risks
- Generate executive security reports and recommend strategic improvements
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SIEM tools
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (required)
- Proficiency in network security protocols (Firewall, IDS/IPS, VPN)
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (AlienVault, Recorded Future)
- Knowledge of incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex security data
- Ability to work flexible hours including on-call rotation
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance
