Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents in real-time using SIEM tools like Splunk and QRadar.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Manage and configure firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation (NIST, HIPAA, GDPR).
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement security controls into the software development lifecycle.
- Perform forensic analysis on compromised systems and assist in the recovery process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or information assurance.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, and switching protocols.
- Experience with scripting languages (Python or Bash) for automation and threat hunting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
