Responsibilities
- Threat Detection: Monitor security events and alerts from SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify and mitigate potential breaches in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation and remediation of security incidents, conducting post-incident reviews to improve defensive measures.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability scans and risk assessments to identify weaknesses in our systems and network architecture.
- Compliance: Ensure the organization adheres to NIST, CIS, and HIPAA security frameworks through audits and policy implementation.
- Access Control: Manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) processes, including role-based access reviews and privileged account monitoring.
- Security Awareness: Collaborate with HR and management to develop and deliver security awareness training programs for employees.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity or SOC analysis.
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Tools: Proficiency with tools like Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, or similar log analysis software.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
