Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Investigate security incidents, document findings, and implement remediation procedures
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS standards
- Provide security awareness training to employees and stakeholders
- Stay current with emerging threats and technologies through continuous research
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, incident response, or threat detection
- Industry certifications: Security+, CISSP, or GIAC preferred
- Proficiency in security tools: SIEM platforms, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint protection
- Strong understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to prioritize threats in high-pressure situations
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and malware analysis
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting to technical and non-technical audiences
