Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts using SIEM tools such as Splunk and QRadar.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits.
- Manage and configure firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems (EDR).
- Lead incident response efforts for security breaches, including forensic analysis and root cause determination.
- Ensure strict compliance with industry standards such as SOC 2, HIPAA, and GDPR.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement secure coding practices and patch management.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of security policies and incident reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Active certification such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GIAC GCIH preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity operations or a related IT role.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud security (AWS/Azure).
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or PowerShell for security automation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
