Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and incidents via SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) to identify potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct thorough investigations of security breaches and vulnerabilities to contain and remediate risks.
- Manage and configure firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion prevention systems to safeguard network traffic.
- Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards (NIST, ISO).
- Develop and maintain incident response plans and conduct tabletop exercises.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security patches and software updates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, incident response, or network security.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common network protocols.
- Proficiency with security tools including SIEM, EDR, and DLP solutions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
