Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and implement security protocols to safeguard sensitive data and systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry regulations (NIST, HIPAA)
- Document security incidents and provide detailed incident response reports
- Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats and recommend mitigation strategies
- Assist in security architecture reviews and security awareness training initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Strong understanding of cloud security (AWS, Azure) and zero-trust architecture
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and collaboration
