Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events using SIEM tools.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
- Enforce compliance standards such as NIST, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.
- Investigate and remediate security breaches and incidents effectively.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
- Conduct security awareness training for staff members.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security.
- Certifications such as Security+, CEH, or CISSP are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Familiarity with security tools like Splunk, Snort, or Qualys.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure during incidents.
- Clearance to work in a government-sensitive environment (if applicable).
