Responsibilities
- Monitor Security Operations Center (SOC): Analyze security alerts and events in real-time using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to potential threats.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation, containment, and eradication of cybersecurity incidents, including malware and ransomware attacks.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis to identify and remediate security gaps.
- Compliance & Policy: Ensure adherence to industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA by maintaining up-to-date security policies and procedures.
- Security Awareness: Develop and deliver security awareness training programs to educate employees on best practices and phishing prevention.
- Threat Intelligence: Monitor global threat landscapes to proactively adapt our defense strategies against emerging cyber threats.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field is required; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in a cybersecurity role within a corporate or SOC environment.
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CISM certification is strongly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python or PowerShell scripting is highly desired; familiarity with cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to work under pressure during active security incidents.
