Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to threats
- Conduct incident response investigations including threat hunting, root cause analysis, and remediation documentation
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement security controls aligned with NIST and ISO 27001 frameworks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with security policies and regulations
- Stay current on emerging cyber threats and technologies through continuous research and training
- Create executive-level security reports and dashboards communicating risk posture to stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- Strong proficiency in SIEM tools, firewalls, and network security protocols
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH) or equivalent practical experience
- Expertise in threat intelligence frameworks and malware analysis techniques
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to prioritize critical security incidents
- Proven experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys) and patch management
