Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced threat detection, analysis, and incident response for enterprise systems
- Implement and monitor security controls (SIEM, EDR, firewalls) across hybrid environments
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security documentation, policies, and incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and NYDFS regulations
- Provide real-time threat intelligence and forensic analysis during security incidents
- Lead security awareness training for employees and stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SOC operations, threat intelligence, or incident response
- Industry certifications: CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar), EDR tools (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne), and network protocols
- Expert knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK framework and threat actor TTPs
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerized environments
- Strong analytical skills with ability to prioritize critical threats under pressure
