Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems and respond to network intrusions, malware, and cyber threats in real-time
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement security protocols for cloud infrastructure and on-premise networks
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and ISO 27001 standards
- Document security incidents, create forensic reports, and recommend remediation actions
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry best practices through continuous training
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity roles with hands-on SIEM/SOAR experience
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification preferred
- Proficiency in network security tools (Splunk, Palo Alto, CrowdStrike)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for threat detection
- Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance (citizenship required)
- Experience with incident response protocols (NIST SP 800-61)
