Job Summary:
As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will be the first line of defense against cyber threats. You will monitor our network environment, analyze security data, and respond to incidents with speed and precision. Your role is crucial in maintaining the integrity of our client's data and ensuring business continuity.
Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and security alerts to identify potential threats, vulnerabilities, and malicious activity.
- Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing to ensure system integrity.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including malware analysis, intrusion detection, and root cause analysis.
- Configure, manage, and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement secure coding practices and patch management.
- Manage user access controls, privilege accounts, and conduct security awareness training.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as SOC 2, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3 to 5+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity or a related IT role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Azure Sentinel, or LogRhythm) and log analysis.
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP), operating systems (Windows/Linux), and security frameworks.
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
