Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect potential breaches.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our infrastructure.
- Lead incident response efforts, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors to contain and mitigate cyber threats.
- Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and access management systems.
- Develop and update security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Collaborate with software development teams to integrate security best practices into the SDLC.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity or a related role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation and forensics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
