Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for anomalous activity
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on client networks
- Investigate security incidents using forensic tools and methodologies
- Generate detailed security reports and mitigation recommendations
- Implement firewall rules and intrusion detection system configurations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during security incident responses
- Stay current on emerging cyber threats and defensive techniques
Qualifications
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with focus on threat detection
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (or equivalent)
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and network analysis tools
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP protocols and network architectures
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Dallas-based with ability to travel to office 1-2 days weekly
