Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using Splunk/QRadar SIEM platforms
- Investigate security incidents and coordinate remediation with IT teams
- Implement and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Develop incident response playbooks and security documentation
- Stay current on emerging threats and MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security awareness initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's preferred)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Valid CompTIA Security+ or willingness to obtain during training
- Proficiency in Windows/Linux operating systems
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance (sponsored by employer)
