Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and investigate potential threats
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network systems
- Document security incidents and generate detailed forensic reports
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current on emerging threats and industry compliance standards (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for critical incident response
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to learn technical concepts quickly during paid training
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent knowledge preferred (not required)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for clearance
