Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents following established protocols
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Generate detailed security incident reports and remediation recommendations
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current on emerging threats and industry trends through continuous training
- Participate in red team/blue team exercises and security awareness campaigns
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred)
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Willingness to obtain CompTIA Security+ certification within 6 months
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
