Responsibilities
- Monitor system logs and network traffic to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct regular security assessments and penetration testing to ensure system integrity.
- Respond to security incidents and incidents reports with immediate containment strategies.
- Configure and maintain firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems.
- Document security policies, procedures, and incident reports for compliance auditing.
- Collaborate with IT staff to patch vulnerabilities and improve network infrastructure.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or Cybersecurity is a plus).
- Strong desire to learn and obtain industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Network+).
- Fundamental knowledge of operating systems (Windows/Linux) and networking concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to obtain a Security+ certification within 12 months of hire.
- Willingness to relocate to Chandler, AZ.
