Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to ensure 24/7 threat visibility.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our network infrastructure and applications.
- Manage and configure firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and endpoint protection solutions to harden our security posture.
- Lead incident response efforts, including forensic analysis, root cause identification, and post-incident reporting.
- Enforce security policies and compliance standards (NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA) across the organization.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Provide security awareness training and guidance to employees to foster a culture of security.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field (equivalent experience accepted).
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and common operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix).
- Proficiency in using security tools such as SIEM, EDR, and DLP solutions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize multiple security incidents simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting findings to stakeholders.
