Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events in real-time using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or ArcSight).
- Conduct 24/7 threat hunting and vulnerability assessments to identify weaknesses in our infrastructure.
- Execute incident response procedures, including containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to patch vulnerabilities and implement robust security controls.
- Generate and report on security metrics and trend analysis to executive management.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory standards (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC2).
- Perform regular penetration testing and security audits.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or network administration.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Proficiency with firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and endpoint protection tools (e.g., CrowdStrike, SentinelOne).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and log files.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting and documentation.
- Must be available to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM) or similar schedules.
