Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, ArcSight)
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents and malware threats
- Implement and maintain security controls across cloud and on-premise infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during incident response and disaster recovery
- Generate comprehensive security reports and executive dashboards
- Stay current on emerging threats and vulnerabilities through continuous research
- Participate in security audits and compliance initiatives (NIST, CIS, ISO 27001)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or SOC environment
- Industry certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred
- Proficiency in network security tools (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF)
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (CrowdStrike, Recorded Future)
- Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux systems and network protocols
- Ability to work independently during night shift hours with minimal supervision
- Excellent written communication skills for incident documentation
