Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across SIEM platforms during night shift hours (10 PM - 6 AM CT)
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents with rapid containment procedures
- Collaborate with global teams to implement threat intelligence and security protocols
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for enterprise systems
- Document incident reports and recommend security enhancements
- Maintain compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA standards
- Participate in 24/7 rotation for critical incident response
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations, incident response, or SOC roles
- Active CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Experience with network protocols, firewalls, and endpoint security
- Strong analytical skills for threat hunting and anomaly detection
- Ability to work independently during night shift hours
- US citizenship or valid work authorization required
