Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools during overnight hours
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents with rapid containment procedures
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection)
- Collaborate with global teams during security incidents and threat hunting operations
- Generate detailed incident reports and security documentation
- Stay current with emerging threats and defensive technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in security operations center (SOC) or incident response roles
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Experience with network security tools (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS)
- Strong analytical skills for threat detection and investigation
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts with minimal supervision
- Excellent written communication for incident reporting and documentation
