Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms and analyze security alerts for potential threats during night shift hours
- Investigate and respond to security incidents including malware outbreaks and unauthorized access attempts
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement security policies ensuring compliance with NIST and ISO standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security posture and incident response protocols
- Document security events and generate comprehensive reports for leadership review
- Stay updated on emerging cyber threats and recommend mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with night shift or 24/7 operations background
- Strong knowledge of network security, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Certifications in CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and threat intelligence platforms
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Ability to work independently during night shift hours with minimal supervision
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
