Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) during night shift hours
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents with rapid containment protocols
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and incident response plans
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with NIST/CIS frameworks
- Document security incidents, forensic findings, and remediation actions
- Stay current on emerging threats and zero-day vulnerabilities through continuous research
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in security operations, incident response, or SOC roles
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CEH certification (required)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, network security protocols, and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to prioritize threats during high-pressure scenarios
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (e.g., Recorded Future, CrowdStrike)
- Ability to work independently during night shift with minimal supervision
