Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for security incidents and anomalies
- Investigate alerts using forensic tools and threat intelligence feeds
- Perform incident response coordination including containment, eradication, and recovery
- Generate detailed incident reports and post-mortem analyses
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Maintain compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC 2 frameworks
Qualifications
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience in SOC, threat hunting, or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, IDS/IPS systems, and network security protocols
- Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux systems, cloud environments (AWS/Azure), and network architectures
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Ability to work independently during night shift hours (10 PM - 6 AM ET)
- Excellent written communication skills for reporting and collaboration
