Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents with minimal latency
- Document security events and maintain incident response logs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during security breaches
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Implement security controls and recommend improvements
- Stay updated on emerging cyber threats and defense strategies
Qualifications
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with SOC operations
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in network security tools (Firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- Experience with incident response protocols (NIST SP 800-61)
- Knowledge of Windows/Linux systems and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Ability to work independently during night shift hours
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver's license and willingness to relocate to San Antonio
