Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across SIEM platforms during night shift hours
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents with rapid containment protocols
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security enhancements
- Generate detailed incident reports and executive summaries for leadership
- Stay current with emerging threats through continuous research and threat hunting
- Participate in security audits and compliance initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Active CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Proficiency in network security protocols (TCP/IP, IDS/IPS, firewalls)
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to work independently during night shifts
- Valid U.S. government security clearance preferred
