Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for real-time threat detection and incident response during overnight hours
- Conduct forensic analysis of security incidents and generate comprehensive incident reports
- Implement and manage firewall rules, IDS/IPS configurations, and endpoint security solutions
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing in isolated network segments
- Collaborate with global SOCs during cross-continental threat intelligence sharing
- Document security protocols and update playbooks for emerging attack vectors
- Provide after-hours support for critical system patching and emergency deployments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with night shift or 24/7 operations
- Active CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or GIAC certification (required)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, network security protocols, and threat intelligence platforms
- Strong understanding of NIST frameworks and compliance standards (FISMA, HIPAA)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during overnight hours
- Excellent written communication skills for incident reporting and documentation
- Valid U.S. government security clearance (or ability to obtain one)
