Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across SIEM platforms during overnight shifts
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents with SLA-driven urgency
- Perform vulnerability scans and penetration testing on client networks
- Document incident reports using MITRE ATT&CK framework methodology
- Collaborate with day-shift teams for threat intelligence sharing
- Conduct forensic analysis of malware and attack vectors
- Develop playbooks for emerging threat patterns
Qualifications
- 3+ years cybersecurity experience with SOC/NOC background
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Experience with Windows/Linux system hardening and network protocols
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of NIST frameworks and compliance standards
- Strong analytical skills for threat correlation and anomaly detection
- Shift work flexibility and reliable transportation for downtown location
