Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents across cloud/on-premise environments
- Analyze SIEM alerts and correlate threat intelligence using Splunk/QRadar
- Conduct forensic investigations and develop mitigation strategies
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, EDR, encryption)
- Collaborate with global SOC teams during high-priority incidents
- Generate executive security reports and compliance documentation
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Train junior analysts on incident response protocols
Qualifications
- 5+ years cybersecurity experience with 2+ years in SOC/night shift roles
- CISSP, CISM, or GIAC certification required
- Expertise in threat detection tools (CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks)
- Strong knowledge of NIST/CIS frameworks and compliance standards
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerized environments
- Proficiency in scripting (Python/Bash) for automation
- Ability to work under pressure during critical incidents
- Active DoD Secret clearance preferred
