Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across enterprise systems using Splunk and AlienVault
- Investigate and respond to security incidents with rapid containment and remediation
- Conduct proactive threat hunting using MITRE ATT&CK framework methodologies
- Generate comprehensive incident reports and executive summaries
- Collaborate with forensic teams during complex breach investigations
- Implement security controls and optimize detection rules
- Participate in red team exercises and vulnerability assessments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on SOC/Security Operations experience
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR tools
- Strong understanding of network protocols and system architectures
- Experience with Windows/Linux forensics and incident response
- Ability to work independently during night shift hours (11 PM - 7 AM)
- Excellent written communication for documentation and reporting
