Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts across SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and triage critical incidents during night shift hours
- Conduct forensic investigations of malware, ransomware, and advanced persistent threats
- Implement firewall rules, IDS/IPS configurations, and endpoint protection protocols
- Collaborate with global Security Operations Center (SOC) teams during major incident response
- Generate detailed threat intelligence reports and recommend mitigation strategies
- Perform vulnerability scans and patch management for production systems
- Maintain compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS frameworks
Qualifications
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations, SOC, or threat detection role
- Expertise in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar), IDS/IPS (Snort, Suricata), and EDR platforms
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, and Windows/Linux systems
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Experience with threat intelligence feeds (MISP, AlienVault OTX)
- Ability to work independently during night shift (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Excellent written communication for incident reporting and documentation
- Active clearance or ability to obtain government clearance a plus
