Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems and respond to 24/7 alerts during night shift
- Investigate cybersecurity incidents using SIEM tools and forensic techniques
- Implement vulnerability patches and security configurations
- Generate detailed incident reports and executive summaries
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during critical incidents
- Conduct penetration testing and security assessments
- Maintain compliance with NIST and ISO 27001 standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- Active CISSP, CEH, or Security+ certification
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR tools
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, network protocols, and cloud architectures
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Valid US government clearance preferred
