Responsibilities
- Monitor 24/7 security operations center (SOC) alerts for intrusion detection, malware, and anomalous network behavior
- Conduct forensic investigations on security incidents using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Implement incident response playbooks and coordinate cross-functional remediation efforts
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure
- Generate actionable intelligence reports for executive stakeholders and security leadership
- Collaborate with global threat intelligence teams to proactively identify emerging risks
- Maintain and optimize security tools including EDR, IDS/IPS, and firewalls
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with SOC operations focus
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms, network security tools, and incident response protocols
- Strong understanding of MITRE ATT&CK framework and threat actor TTPs
- Experience with Windows/Linux system administration and network protocols
- Ability to work independently during night shifts and make critical decisions under pressure
- Excellent written communication for incident documentation and reporting
