Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for real-time threat detection and analysis
- Investigate security incidents, including malware, intrusions, and data breaches
- Execute incident response playbooks for containment, eradication, and recovery
- Document incidents using MITRE ATT&CK framework and prepare executive reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls
- Conduct threat hunting using intelligence feeds and anomaly detection
- Participate in purple team exercises and vulnerability assessments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in SOC operations or incident response roles
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CEH certification
- Proficiency with SIEM tools, IDS/IPS, and EDR solutions
- Knowledge of NIST frameworks and compliance requirements
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and network protocols
- Ability to work independently during critical incidents
- Shift flexibility and strong decision-making under pressure
