Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our infrastructure.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including malware analysis and phishing attempts.
- Implement and manage security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations such as HIPAA, SOC2, and GDPR.
- Collaborate with IT teams to design secure network architectures and software deployments.
- Develop and deliver security awareness training for employees.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in cybersecurity or a related role.
- Certification such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GIAC GSEC is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and incident response methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
