Responsibilities
- Threat Detection & Monitoring: Analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation and remediation of security incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and rapid recovery.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing support, and implement security patches across the network.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to internal security policies and external regulatory frameworks (NIST, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
- Security Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on security best practices and phishing awareness.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a SOC, Network Security, or Incident Response role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Linux, Windows administration, and network protocols (TCP/IP).
- Scripting: Ability to write and debug scripts in Python or PowerShell for automation tasks.
- Tools: Strong working knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
