Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze network traffic for suspicious activities and potential threats.
- Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration tests.
- Respond to and mitigate security incidents and breaches in real-time.
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
- Implement and enforce security policies and compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA, NIST).
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure infrastructure deployment.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC preferred.
- Proven experience in a SOC or Security Operations Center environment.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, and network protocols.
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, LogRhythm) and threat intelligence platforms.
- US Citizenship or ability to obtain a Secret clearance is required.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
