Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events across the enterprise network using SIEM tools.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Investigate and remediate security breaches and incidents in accordance with incident response plans.
- Manage and configure security appliances, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory standards (NIST, ISO 27001).
- Develop and maintain security documentation and incident reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in a cybersecurity or network defense role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, or CEH are highly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, LogRhythm) and endpoint protection.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python or Bash) is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
