Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, FireEye) to detect and mitigate potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct thorough investigations into security incidents, including root cause analysis and post-incident reporting.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our infrastructure before malicious actors exploit them.
- Enforce security policies and compliance standards (NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA) across the organization.
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch vulnerabilities and implement security controls.
- Document security protocols and maintain accurate logs for audit purposes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or CompTIA Security+ certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or SOC operations.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Familiarity with cloud security frameworks (AWS/Azure) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
