Responsibilities
- Monitor & Detect: Implement and manage Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions to detect and respond to suspicious network activity and potential threats in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation, containment, and eradication of security breaches and cyberattacks.
- Security Assessments: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify weaknesses in our infrastructure.
- Access Control: Manage user permissions, enforce identity and access management (IAM) policies, and ensure least privilege access principles.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry standards such as HIPAA, ISO 27001, and NIST frameworks.
- Policy Development: Develop, update, and enforce cybersecurity policies and procedures for the organization.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or information security analysis.
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM, Security+, or CISA certification is highly desired.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and endpoint protection solutions (e.g., CrowdStrike, SentinelOne).
- Tools: Strong working knowledge of SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and scripting languages (Python, Bash).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
