Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and security systems for suspicious activity using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar).
- Investigate and respond to security incidents and breaches in a timely manner.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing support.
- Implement and maintain security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations (NIST, GDPR).
- Generate daily security reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Active Security+ or CISSP certification is highly preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in a SOC or similar security environment.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common network protocols.
- Proficiency with Python or Bash scripting for automation tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
