Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts within the SIEM environment (Splunk/Sentinel).
- Conduct daily vulnerability assessments and manage patching cycles for enterprise systems.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents, performing detailed post-incident forensics.
- Collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to implement and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, and network segmentation.
- Support penetration testing efforts and assist in the development of security policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with internal governance, ISO 27001, and NIST standards.
- Conduct regular security awareness training and phishing simulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or GIAC GCIH preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in a SOC (Security Operations Center) or Threat Analysis role.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) for automation.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, and common attack vectors.
- Experience with cloud security frameworks (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
