Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events using SIEM tools (Splunk, Sentinel).
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing support to identify system weaknesses.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents and breaches in accordance with established protocols.
- Enforce security policies and compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA, NIST).
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch vulnerabilities and harden network infrastructure.
- Document security incidents, root causes, and resolution steps in the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in a SOC (Security Operations Center) environment.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, and common attack vectors.
- Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or PowerShell for automation tasks.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure during active security incidents.
